
Continuous support of community development projects run and managed in Dwangwa by the Round Table Dwangwa Chapter. The vital donations during 2018 of much needed medical equipment to the Ntchisi District Hospital and satellite health centres at Dwangwa. The businesses actively engages with community members and works with community organisations, NGOs and various community service delivery organisations to develop the appropriate projects and to successfully execute these projects to the best advantage of the recipients. Throughout the group, individual operations identify and are involved in social projects that are aligned with their strategies and that are usually in close proximity to the operations, to make the biggest impact and difference to the communities. The group addresses this through a focus on community development, education and childcare. Unitrans acknowledges that it has a key role and responsibility in supporting the communities in the areas in which it operates. Unitrans also offers customized compliance to customer requirements, but always works towards “Zero Harm” – through the belief that all incidents are preventable through corrective and preventative actions. We have developed an entire comprehensive SHEQ management system that contains all necessary policies and procedures. Accordingly conformance to all SHEQ principles, policies, procedures and the law is not negotiable.

Historically, the company has been involved in bulk fuel transport, various agricultural logistics operations as well as passenger transport in Malawi. Unitrans Malawi Limited has been in existence for over 30 years (and previously as Bulwark Transport Malawi Limited since 1964).
